Why Japan?

This is one of the most unreached people groups in the world.

But that also means it’s where the most opportunities lie!

You could choose to be discouraged by the 1% of the population that is Christian, or you could choose to focus on all the other opportunities that the rest of the 99% creates. Millions of Japanese people have never heard the Good News or even met a Christian before. You could be the first to meet them, the first to share the Gospel to them, the first to love them the way He would.

Japan needs more workers. It needs those who want to love its people unconditionally. It’s looking for the bold and the unashamed. It’s looking for those who aren’t afraid of a challenge, who will only let God tell them what is or isn’t possible.

Japan is waiting for you.

Why Takatsuki?

Takatsuki is located in the Osaka metropolitan area near Kyoto. With it’s own surprisingly rich history of Christian influence and heritage, we can see why this location was chosen as the first YWAM base in Japan! We believe that our base in Takatsuki is strategic for its ability to reach both Osaka and Kyoto, as well as the opportunities that are in Takatsuki itself!
